Worship
Worshipping God is the center of our life together. It is the foundation of everything we do and all that we are.
What are the worship services at Epworth like?
Sanctuary Services – 8:30 AM and 10:55 AM
Two traditional services are held in the sanctuary. The 8:30 service is a smaller group of folks and is a bit more relaxed than our 10:55 service. Tom Jordan leads us on the piano and special music is provided by ensembles, soloists and musicians from our congregation. Worship leaders often incorporate gospel songs and old favorite tunes from the hymn book for our congregational songs.
The 10:55 service has the largest attendance of our services. This service features a full chancel choir, directed by Aaron Misenheimer, and organ music by John Apple. In this service we also have a Children’s Sermon and many opportunities for our three Handbell choirs and children’s choir to provide special music.
Jacob’s Well – 9:30 AM

An alternative, more informal service, known as Jacob’s Well, with Praise Team, drums and contemporary Christian music meets in the fellowship hall. Our Worship Leader, Tom Jordan, encourages everyone to join in the singing and the message is given in a relaxed style that offers plenty of opportunities for group discussion.
Holy Communion

The Sacrament of Holy Communion is offered once a month (typically on the first Sunday of the month) at all three services.
