I grew up in Kannapolis, North Carolina and graduated in 1987 from Northwest Cabarrus High School.  Epworth is my “home” church, and I have been attending church here since I was a baby.  My favorite Bible verse:  “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!”  Philippians 4: 13
I graduated in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts from UNC Greensboro with an English major and Latin Minor and NC Teacher Certification.  From there I went be a middle school/high school teacher and got my Master of School Administration from UNC Charlotte.   I have been and assistant principal at Kannapolis Middle School and Winecoff Elementary as well as an Assistant Principal of Instruction.  I became Principal at Winecoff Elementary in 2004 and held that position until I came to Epworth in 2006 as the Director of Family Ministries.
