God calls us beyond the walls of the church to make a difference in the world.
Outreach
Epworth has an active outreach committee whose job it is to plan, promote and participate in mission opportunities for the church throughout the year. ANYONE can be a part of this committee—-either for the entire year or for specific projects. The group consists of individuals in the church who are nominated by the Committee on Lay Leadership to serve a term but anyone can join us at any time.
Individuals who belong to this committee have a passion for doing things for others and for serving the Lord. They have a heart for ministry and can put their words into action by reaching out to others in service. . Some of the projects that we have supported in the past include:

One of the things that we do during the year that has the most impact on our local community is One Great Week of Service. During this week we concentrate on doing service projects locally. We deliver Meals on Wheels, give goodie baskets to our local public servants, collect items for local food pantries and the Night Shelter, work on Habitat Houses, help beautify the grounds of facilities like Hospice House along with other opportunities. It is a great opportunity for church members and friends to work alongside one another and do something for someone else that will make a difference.
