As many of you know, I have a love/hate relationship with my podium in the youth room.  While I do believe it harnesses special powers that help me teach and inspire young people, it's a piece of junk.  The wood is splintered at the base, it's poo brown, it wobbles 45 degrees in all directions and quite frankly given my current girth from pregnancy, I can't lean on it with any sort of confidence anymore.  And so on Sunday, May 4th; a perfect warm Spring afternoon - I finally snapped and ended a long battle that had been brewing for quite some time.  It's better this way and it's time for us all to move on.  We'll always remember the podium and we wish it well.  But it's time for us to say good-bye.
