The Flock Curriculum

Yearly Pacing Guide - Revised May 2009

Our goal is to help children grow socially, emotionally, emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually in an age-appropriate manner.  The teachers at the Flock use a variety of resources in order to teach preschool literacy and math skills.  We all use a program called Letterland to teach phonemic awareness and letter sounds/names.  In addition, we use The Beginner’s Bible by Zonderkidz to guide our Bibletime each morning.  Below is a guide that we use throughout the year in order to plan units.  From year to year, our weekly/monthly themes do change, as well as when we teach various concepts.  Each month, parents receive a calendar that lets them know what their child is learning and what our theme for the week or month may be.
