DUH!SCIPLES ON SUNDAY ...

DUH!SCIPLES on Sundays meets from 4:30 - 6:00 (Sept - May/June). We're the official youth group of Epworth's 6 - 12 graders and a few college kids who won't go away! We usually kick off with games .... the occasional air-born shoe has been known to pass by. Our lessons & devotions hopefully spark discussion and a little deep thinking about God and the world around us. Come hang out with us ... there can never be too many DUH!SCIPLES!

WORSHIP EXPERIENCES ...

Every once in a while we just need a little time between us and God. Worship experiences give us a chance to feel the presence of God whether through communion, faith walks, prayer time or just being still with each other. DUH!SCIPLES lead our congregation in worship services several times during the year. In addition, we hope to create meaningful worship time within our own ministry.

SUMMER MISSIONS ...

James writes that our faith and our deeds cannot function independently of one another. DUH!SCIPLES have the opportunity to put their faith into action by getting involved with summer mission trips. Youth who embrace the importance of service and Christian mission tend to strengthen their personal relationship with Christ and return year after year.

HINTON RURAL LIFE CENTER - nestled about as far west in the NC mountains as you can get, Hinton Rural Life Center gives folks of all ages and skill sets an opportunity to be in mission; this allows our younger DUH!SCIPLES to work & serve. Hinton's facilities are very comfortable and surrounded by beautful lakes and mountains.

CAROLINACROSS CONNECTION - has been a huge part of the DUH!SCIPLE summer for many years. CCC is for rising 8th graders or youth who are at least 13. Youth and adults spend a week serving various families who are in need. There are five CCC camps throughout western NC and we rotate each year. Facilities are a bit more "rustic" but provide the basic necessities for a week of service.
